You can set your medication schedule from the first dose of the day, or shift remaining doses to accommodate early or late medications over the course of the day.
Some medications are prescribed to be taken with a specific time lapse in-between doses instead of at certain times of the day, in order to ensure maximum benefit of these doses throughout the day.
1. If you are interested in setting your schedule from the first dose of the day, set up a medication schedule with the prescribed time between doses - we recommend selecting a first dose time around the time you take your first medication for the day. If the log time is more than 5 minutes before or after the scheduled time, you will see the option to Adjust Schedule for the remaining scheduled doses of the day.
2. Logging a medication more than 5 minutes outside of the scheduled time will prompt you with the option to Log `on schedule` or at the `current time`. If this is your first scheduled dose of the day, this is a great way to set your schedule based on your first dose.
2. Choosing the current time will trigger another prompt if there are remaining doses for any of the medications logged at this time later in the day, calculating how early or late you logged your medication and allowing you to shift your schedule for these specific medications with the ADJUST SCHEDULE button.
4. The remaining doses will be shifted according to your log time.
The option to adjust your medication schedule is available for any day within the last 90 days, or Recent Logged Items edit flow for the previous 7 days, to ensure this is an action you want to perform. It is also available for any medication with subsequent un-logged doses on the schedule.
For best results, we recommend logging medications from the schedule right before or after you take them. If you have medications scheduled close enough to midnight your local time that shifting the schedule will bump your latest dose into the next day, it will appear on the schedule for the following day at the new time once the schedule shifts at midnight.
Please note, you cannot currently un-do a schedule shift - if you accidentally shift your schedule for the day, please take note of the times you will need to take your medications and log them accordingly. Your daily medications will return to the normal schedule the following day.
