Set a goal to log all your medications on schedule and view your historical logging patterns in Medication History.
When you create a medication schedule in StrivePD, you'll start building a history of how closely you adhere to that schedule, one day at a time. Adhering to your schedule can be an important part of symptom regulation. Building a timeline of your medication habits will help you and your care team assess when care plan adjustments might be in order, as well as the type of adjustment needed.
Medication Schedule History
Review and update scheduled medication logs for any day within the last 90 days, along with a chart representing your adherence for the past 30 days. Tap the Next Medication card on My Day to access adherence and history.
1. Tap the `History` tab at the top of the Medication screen to see a bar graph visualization of daily medication schedule adherence for the past 30 days, followed by a list view of the last 90 days.
2.Scroll through the list to get a quick view of how many medications you logged out of the total number scheduled for a given day. The color of your log percentage will reflect your adherence for that day.
3. Tap to open a schedule for any day in the list, where you can view or update logs for that day at any time.
All medications, whether logged as needed or from a set schedule, are included in StrivePD Reports. You may also log medications ad-hoc on the watch or phone through the Log an Item flow.
Keeping your schedule up to date is critical as the schedule will only update from that time forward. This will help you keep an accurate journal of medication adjustments influencing the quality of your overall well-being.
*Please note - the medication schedule behaves essentially like a calendar for your medications - when crossing time zones, your schedule will be presented in the current local time, no matter what time zone you were in at the time you logged from that schedule. This may cause fluctuations in the adherence chart at the top of the History tab when you cross time zones - if you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team at any time.
How is medication adherence calculated?
The total number of scheduled doses is added to the adherence calculation denominator every day. If you log all scheduled medications as taken or actively skipped in a day, you will see an adherence of 100% for that day. Only medications that are not logged at all are counted against adherence.
When should I check my adherence?
It's good practice to check your logs for Today at the end of the day for accuracy. At midnight of any given day, the schedule will turns over to the next day, at which point you can access the previous day's schedule in the History view. From there you can check any historical schedule for the past 90 days and make any necessary updates for accuracy.
What can I do to improve my medication adherence?
Remember to keep your medication schedule up-to-date! Also be sure to follow our recommendations for setting up your schedule in a way that offers you the flexibility you need, such as scheduling only the medications you take every day to the daily schedule, and adding optional medications or medications without a set schedule with an as needed frequency.
In the event you run out of a particular medication and need a day or two to re-fill your prescription, you can set the medication to inactive in the medication edit view until you are able to take the medications again, and then reactivate when it's time to do so.
Getting used to working with an app to track your medications can feel overwhelming at first and it can take time to build consistent habits - be patient with yourself and talk to your care team about the best choices for your particular journey.
