Critical permissions and device information for troubleshooting some of the most commonly reported errors while using StrivePD.
If you're not receiving any expected StrivePD notifications, or Tremor & Dyskinesia or Apple Fitness data is not uploading, check the Advanced settings screen to make sure all necessary permissions are enabled and where to go to find more information.
Permissions
1. Notifications - the first permission prompt presented when creating a StrivePD account is notifications. This permission is required to schedule and receive reminder notifications for Scheduled Medications reminders, Daily Check-in and Today's Goals.
You can customize these reminders in StrivePD > Settings > Notifications & Reports at any time, so we recommend always allowing Notifications to the StrivePD app. If you see a red `X` next to this permission in Advanced settings, tap on the `X` and navigate to Settings to update.
2. Motion & Fitness - the next permission prompt presented when creating a StrivePD account is for Motion & Fitness. This permission allows StrivePD to record heart rate, workouts and motor symptom data with the Apple Watch - included in Activity, Tremor & Dyskinesia and StrivePD Reports to review with your care team.
If you see a red `X` next to this permission in Advanced settings, tap on the `X` and navigate to Settings to update. Updating this setting re-sets the app as it's considered a new system configuration - when you re-open StrivePD, navigate back to Settings > Advanced to confirm there is now a green check mark next to this permission.
To find this permission directly through your iPhone Settings , navigate to Settings > Privacy & Security
Under Privacy & Security, navigate to Motion & Fitness
Under Motion & Fitness, you will see Fitness Tracking, which is required for Motion & Fitness to function for any app, and all apps with access to this permission underneath. To ensure proper integration of StrivePD with the Apple Watch for heart rate, workouts and motor symptom data recording.
3. Apple Health - the final permission prompt presented when creating a StrivePD account is for the Apple Health App. This permission allows StrivePD to record heart rate, workouts and mobility data (such as step count and walking speed) in conjunction with Fitness Tracking on the iPhone and Apple Watch.
In concordance with Apple's privacy standards for your personal data, StrivePD can only prompt you once for Health app permissions, and cannot indicate which Health app permissions you have allowed, or send you directly to that setting after that prompt. To view or update Health app permissions for StrivePD, navigate to Settings > Privacy & Security
Next, navigate to the Health App
Find StrivePD among the apps that have requested Health app permissions, and tap on StrivePD to open
The next screen displays a full list of Health app permissions available for integration with StrivePD.
We recommend tapping 'Turn On All' to optimize the data available to you and your care team through StrivePD features like Activity and StrivePD Reports. You can view or update this setting at any time.
Device Info
Our support team may occasionally request a device ID to help troubleshoot certain errors. You can find this in Advanced Settings and tap the COPY button to copy the ID - the easiest way to transfer this information to the support team when requested is to then start an In-App Support conversation directly in the Help section, paste the device ID in the chat and tap to Send.
Our support team will walk you through any additional troubleshooting steps required to resolve specific errors - if you find you've gone through all suggested troubleshooting outlined in our help center, please contact us and let us know how we can help!
