Capturing accurate medication timing is essential to understanding whether your prescriptions are working for you or require some review.
The StrivePD Medication Schedule is designed to help you stay as close to your medication schedule as possible. By tracking your medications day to day, you can build an accurate history of medication adherence and timing and correlate these with fluctuations in your symptoms. This historical record will allow you and your care team to uncover potential adjustments to your care plan that better serve your needs.
See Medications & StrivePD Reports to find out how this data is included in StrivePD Reports.
Today's Medication Schedule
1. The NEXT MEDICATION card displays the next medication(s) to be taken according to your schedule.
2. Tap to open the Medication view for Today's schedule to log your next medications.
3. Tap the `+` next to each medication to log individually, or tap LOG ALL to log all medications at once. You will see an option to log the medication(s) as taken at the current time, a custom time, or as intentionally skipped.
4. Tapping the button to LOG (now) will log the medication(s) as taken at the current time.
5. Tapping the button to log at a CUSTOM TIME opens a time input field defaulted to the scheduled time.
6. To log at the scheduled time, tap the LOG button and your medication(s) will be logged at that time.
7. To enter a custom time, type using the keypad to enter a different time and tap LOG.
8. Your medication(s) will be logged as taken at the custom time entered in the keypad.
9. You may occasionally choose to skip a medication that's on the schedule - you can log these medications as `Skipped` by choosing the SKIP MEDICATION option in the log drawer. *Skipped medications are considered an active choice on your part and will not count against your adherence calculations for that day.
Please note - Skipped medications are only visible on a medication schedule, they will not appear in recent logged items or in the Tremor & Dyskinesia detail chart.
10. In the event you do miss a medication, make sure to leave that medication un-logged. This will count against your adherence for the day, allowing you to track your medication adherence and review it with accuracy.
11. To unlog a single medication, tap the log timestamp; To unlog a group of medications scheduled at the same time, tap the LOGGED button for that period. A confirmation modal will ask you to confirm the action. If confirmed, the medication(s) will be reverted to the default state (unlogged).
12. For as-needed medications, scroll to the bottom of Today's medications and tap the log button (+) at any time during the day.
13. The log button will change to a timestamp for several seconds to confirm the log time, and then return to its default status - you'll find these logs under the Recent Logged Items card on My Day.
We recommend logging either right before or right after taking medications to capture an accurate log time, but StrivePD Medication is designed to allow you to log whenever it's most convenient for you over the course of the day, or even the next day (see Medication Schedule History below).
If you log a medication +/- 5 minutes outside of the scheduled time with subsequent doses scheduled later that day, you'll get an option to adjust that medication's schedule accordingly - learn more in Set schedule from first dose / adjust schedule.
